Yes, PitMove is completely free to download and use. All core features — real-time prices, map, filters and station search — are available at no cost. There are optional premium features available via in-app purchase, but they are not required to save on fuel.

Petrol, diesel, LPG and CNG prices come from MIMIT's Osservaprezzi, the official Italian database where station operators are legally required to report prices. PitMove aggregates this data, refreshes it daily and serves it in the app already normalized and geolocated.

For charging stations we integrate public data from operators (CPOs) and open databases like OpenChargeMap, complemented by community-submitted information. For each station you see power in kW, connector type, availability and — when published by the operator — the charging tariff.

PitMove currently covers Italy and Spain with official fuel prices. For EV charging the coverage is broader thanks to international databases. We are working to extend official fuel coverage to more European countries in the coming months.

No, PitMove requires an internet connection to fetch up-to-date prices and show the map. Data usage is light, though: most app activity is optimized to work well even with slow or unstable mobile connections while traveling.

Yes. The Trip Planner has a dedicated EV profile: enter your vehicle (or battery capacity) and remaining range and PitMove computes the optimal charging stops along your route, factoring in power, detour and estimated charging times.

Savings depend on mileage and habits, but our most active users save on average around €200 per year by picking the cheapest nearby station instead of the first one. On a long trip the difference between the most expensive and cheapest station can easily exceed €10 per full tank.

No, PitMove does not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We use anonymous identifiers (Firebase) to run the app and location data only when explicitly authorized. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
